There’s something really grounding about this—especially the idea of being selective in a world that constantly pushes for more.

That line about keeping a small rotation of go-to cookbooks to reduce decision fatigue really stood out. It’s such a simple shift, but it changes the entire experience of daily life.

Also… honey & cinnamon latte might be the quiet star of this whole post. ☕️

Love this series—feels like a reset in the best way.

This was a great publication! I will absolutely bring adding Opa to my cookbook rotation.

I cook from my YiaYia’s recipes, but she mostly just tells me to add “taste it until I think it’s right”, and a bit more guidance would be nice 😂🫶🏻.

Spoken like a true Greek!! ☠️ my husband’s family is the exact same. I love it but having specifics is always appreciated too! lol 😂

I had to draw the line when she told me to taste the raw ground meat for grape leaves to decide what seasoning we needed next 😂🫶🏻 You get it.

Love this! How do you order the latte? Curious if you’re at a new place how you’d order it

That’s a great question! I’d get mine as a small latte (I like more of an espresso flavor vs more milk), with cinnamon steamed into the milk and a touch of honey! If you try it let me know what you think! 🥰
